JOB SUMMARY:

Our Marketing Team leverages strengths in strategy, brand marketing, consumer insights, innovation, and new business development to lead the category and deliver profitable growth. Marketing brings engagement and brand participation with our customers, shoppers and consumers through creation and execution of best-in-class, equity-building brand communication. Ruiz Foods’ leadership team comes from leading companies like General Mills, SC Johnson, and Unilever and has driven industry-leading growth for the past 8 years. We are seeking an experienced Brand Manager (BM) who can help us continue driving growth across the business.

In this BM role, you will be a strategic business leader in the organization. You will lead a mix of Marketing and communications projects enabling you to build and showcase your breadth and depth of leadership, strategic & analytical thinking, and innovative skills. We’re looking for top talented individuals that have experiences in these skill areas, along with collaboration, priority setting, consumer understanding, etc.

You will be expected to lead cross-functional teams, drive key initiatives, and collaborate with agency partners. You will evaluate financial performance of assigned brands/products and develop and implement strategies to improve sales and margin. You will help guide a brand’s strategic choices and vision and be responsible for executing all elements of the marketing plans for the assigned brand/product across all consumer touchpoints.  You will be expected to be in touch with consumer and customer needs, anticipate the future, create innovative techniques to win their devotion, and increase market share.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead brand strategic plans and execution, delivering growth via both core products and innovation.
  • Guide senior management’s thinking through frequent interactions with and presentations to the executive team, driving change to improve sales, profitability, and long-term viability.
  • Lead direct report(s) as assigned to deliver on business needs and develop/hone critical marketing skills.
  • Demonstrate strong team leadership and project management, working with coworkers in various cross-functional assignments to drive positive business results.
  • Assist in building and managing P&L for assigned business and initiatives to meet financial goals.
  • Analyze consumer, market, & retailer trends via scanning data, consumer research, and secondary sources to identify key insights and translate analysis into strategic business decisions.
  • Make frequent recommendations and/or decisions related to promotions, products, pricing, and other key initiative that will impact the brand’s short- and long-term success.
  • Work closely with Sales Teams to deliver business objectives. Create effective sell stories to gain strong trade support and product distribution using relevant category and consumer data.
  • Assist in management of brand’s annual budgets for marketing, research, art design, etc.
  • Assist in development and execution of marketing plans for assigned base and new products, including traditional & digital media, promotional packs, trade support, etc.
  • Work with outside agencies assigned to the business to deliver exceptional results (graphics, media, etc.)
  • Demonstrate the leadership and strategic thinking needed for both the current position and a future position as a Senior Brand Manager.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree/Majors: BS, BA (Business or Marketing degree preferred), MBA preferred
  • Work Experience: 4-6+ yrs applicable role(s)
