We bring on-trend, delicious foods to consumers in US Retail, Warehouse Clubs and Foodservice including K-12 Schools, Colleges and Universities, Business and Industry, Convenience Stores, Vending and Restaurants.

This position will be based in central California, with a low cost of living, family-friendly communities, and ready access to three national parks and countless other recreational activities.


Our Marketing Team leverages strengths in strategy, brand marketing, consumer insights, innovation, and new business development to lead the category and deliver profitable growth. Marketing brings engagement and brand participation with our customers, shoppers and consumers through creation and execution of best-in-class, equity-building brand communication. Ruiz Foods’ brand team leadership come from Kraft, Unilever, ConAgra, General Mills and SC Johnson.  These recent additions have been made to establish the foundation for the next period of aggressive growth for the company. We are seeking a Senior Associate Brand Manager (ABM) to join our Foodservice Business Unit Marketing team.

In this role, you will be a strategic business leader in the organization. You will lead a mix of Strategy, Brand Activation, Marketing Communications and Innovation projects enabling you to build and showcase your breadth and depth of leadership, strategic and analytical skills. We’re looking for top talented individuals that have experiences in these skill areas, along with strong communication and presentation skills.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive key initiatives, and collaborate with agency partners. You will evaluate financial performance of assigned brands/products and develop and implement strategies to improve sales and margin. You will help guide a brand’s strategic choices and vision and be responsible for developing and executing all elements of the marketing plans for the assigned brand/product across all consumer touchpoints.  You will be the voice of the consumer and customer inside the organization and create innovative techniques to win their devotion and increase market share.

  • Analyze consumer, market, & retailer trends via scanning data, consumer research, and secondary sources to identify key insights and translate analysis into strategic business decisions.
  • Make frequent recommendations and/or decisions related to promotions, products, pricing, and other key initiatives that will impact the brand’s short- and long-term success.
  • Demonstrate strong team leadership and project management, working with coworkers in various cross-functional assignments to drive positive business results.
  • Assist in building and managing P&L for assigned business and initiatives to meet financial goals.
  • Work with Sales Team to deliver sales objectives. Create and deliver effective sell stories to gain strong retailer support and product distribution using relevant category and consumer data.
  • Assist in development and execution of marketing strategy and plans for prioritized business segments, product platforms and innovation.
  • Execute marketing communications including brand campaigns, traditional trade media, digital media.
  • Work with outside agencies assigned to the business to deliver exceptional results (media, graphics, etc.)
  • Assist marketing leadership in building brand plans, guiding the organization’s thinking, driving change and action to improve sales, profitability, and long-term viability.
  • Demonstrate the leadership and strategic thinking needed for both the current position and a future position as a Brand Manager



  • BS, BA (Business or Marketing degree preferred)
  • MBA preferred


  • 3-5 years applicable experience
  • Experience in Foodservice Marketing specifically in Convenience Stores and Non-Commercial (e.g. Healthcare, C&U, etc.) business segments.
